DEFIANCE, Ohio (WANE) – Two adult males ended up arrested soon after a landowner observed them actively thieving items on their uninhabited property and fled only to be identified several hours later on.
At 2:30 p.m., deputies with the Paulding County Sheriff’s Section ended up dispatched to 23092 SR 66 for a breaking & coming into in-development.
A landowner arrived at the uninhabited assets and identified two adult men actively thieving their products, deputies report. One person fled promptly though the other acquired in his auto and tried out to travel away. However, he grew to become stuck in a ditch and took off on foot.
Deputies report that a perimeter was established up with the guidance of Ohio State Troopers. An plane from the State Freeway Patrol was also dispatched to the scene.
Deputies, Troopers and a Point out Wildlife Officer report searching the spot for nearly three hours but left about 5:30 p.m. soon after not discovering the adult males in the thick woods.
At about 6:15 p.m., landowners in the vicinity of the intersection of Highway 191 and Road 178 termed the Sheriff’s Business office to report two gentlemen walking in a area and getting into a wooded region.
Deputies have been sent to search the woods and observed Bobby Joe Thompson, 42, and William Wehby, Jr., 53, from Scott. Equally adult men ended up taken into custody with out incident.
