Roughly $1.3 million value of harm was brought on to a northeast Wichita condominium developing on Thursday evening by a discarded cigarette, according to Wichita hearth Lt. Branden Arnold.
The fireplace was documented at 10:41 p.m. at Sundance Flats in the 1900 block of North Rock. Arriving firefighters saw flames coming from second-flooring balconies, but all the occupants of the 16-unit developing were able to escape the flames on their own, he claimed. Two people ended up dealt with and unveiled as a precautionary measure for smoke inhalation.
He approximated $1 million of hurt to the developing and $300,000 to its contents.

The trigger of the fire has been attributed to a cigarette thrown from a balcony that ended up in a area between a deck and the building, he said. People today in all of the building will will need short term housing, he said, and American Pink Cross was on the scene to assist.
