MISHAWAKA — A teenager who was shot and killed Friday night at the Pin Oaks Fashion Residences in Mishawaka has been identified.
Officers were being dispatched to the elaborate, positioned north of Bethel College, around 11:20 p.m. Friday right after a resident reported a shooting with an 18-year-aged boy lying on the floor unconscious in front of a unit.
Tychius Derrickson, of Mishawaka, was lifeless when medics arrived just after staying shot in the higher human body, in accordance to Mishawaka Assistant Police Main Dan Gebo.
The final results of an autopsy Monday are pending.
Scanner visitors from the incident signifies officers from Mishawaka, South Bend and St. Joseph County have been all referred to as to the scene, as Mishawaka law enforcement ongoing to offer with a close by crash.
Gebo explained detectives have information about a possible suspect and are subsequent sales opportunities and interviewing witnesses.
