COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – An Olympic Gold Medal profitable swimmer and previous employee at a Colorado Springs authentic estate agency has been billed for his alleged participation in the storming of the U.S. Capitol.
Klete Keller faces 3 charges of Obstructing Regulation Enforcement, Getting into a Restricted Developing, and Disorderly Perform on Capitol Grounds, according to a prison grievance submitted in U.S. District Court in the District of Columbia and obtained by SwimSwam, a media outlet that handles swimmers.
Keller received 5 Olympic medals in 3 Olympic game titles, competing for Staff Usa. He received gold medals at the 2004 Athens and 2008 Beijing Olympics, competing in the 4 X 200m freestyle relay.
The complaint, filed on Wednesday, was created by an FBI agent. It says Keller stood out among the the crowd that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 mainly because of his 6-foot-6 top and Workforce United states jacket, with an Olympic patch.
The statement claims the swimming website SwimSwam initial discovered Keller dependent on movie of the riot. The FBI then in contrast that online video to an August 2019 driver’s license picture of Keller.
